Detailed itinerary

Day 1 — Montreal / Casablanca

Departure from P.E. Trudeau Airport with Royal Air Maroc to Casablanca.

Day 2 — Casablanca (L/D)

Arrival in Casablanca, welcome by your French-speaking escort and presentation of the tour. Visit the Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest religious buildings in the world, located by the Atlantic Ocean. Lunch followed by a panoramic city tour: United Nations Square, Mohammed V Boulevard, Anfa district, Ain Diab Corniche and Habbous district. Dinner and overnight.

Day 3 — Casablanca / Rabat - 90 km (B/L/D)

Breakfast then departure to Rabat for a guided historical visit of this UNESCO-listed capital. Walk along the Royal Palace esplanade, photo stop at Chellah, visit Hassan Tower, Mohammed V Mausoleum, Mechouar walls, Kasbah gardens and the Kasbah of the Udayas. Dinner and overnight. The Hassan II Mosque visit may be shared with a group.

Day 4 — Rabat / Ouazzane / Chefchaouen - 220 km (B/L/D)

Departure to Chefchaouen, the blue city nestled in the Rif Mountains. Guided walking tour: Uta El Hammam Square, blue-and-white medina streets, Ras El Maa spring, small waterfalls, washing district and Kasbah. Free time to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and artisan shops. Dinner and overnight.

Day 5 — Chefchaouen / Volubilis / Meknes / Moulay Idriss / Fes - 260 km (B/L/D)

Guided visit of Volubilis archaeological site, a UNESCO World Heritage site, then view of Moulay Idriss. Lunch in Meknes and guided historical visit: El Hedim Square, souk, Bab Lakhmis, Bab el Mansour, Moulay Ismail granaries and stables at Heri Es-Souani, Agdal basin and Moulay Ismail Mausoleum. Continue to Fes. Dinner and overnight.

Day 6 — Fes (B/L/D)

Full day in Fes: Fes El-Jdid, Royal Palace, Bou Inania Madrasa, UNESCO-listed medina, Seffarine Square, El Attarine Madrasa, exterior view of Al Quaraouiyine University, Nejjarine Square, artisan souks, Chouara Tanneries, ceramic workshop, Merinid Tombs, Borj Nord and Bab Boujloud. Lunch in a riad-style restaurant. Dinner and overnight.

Day 7 — Fes / Ifrane / Midelt / Erfoud / Merzouga - 464 km (B/L/D)

Departure to Merzouga via Ifrane, known as Moroccan Little Switzerland, and the cedar forests of the Middle Atlas, home to Barbary macaques. Lunch in Midelt, then via Errachidia, Erfoud, the Ziz gorges and valley, before arriving at the Erg Chebbi dunes. Sunset, traditional dinner and overnight in a luxury bivouac.

Day 8 — Merzouga / Luxury Bivouac (B/L/D)

Sunrise over the dunes, then 4x4 excursion around Erg Chebbi. Discover a nomad village, Gnaoua cultural village, Merzouga and Hassilabied Oasis. Free time at the foot of the dunes, possible pool time depending on conditions, optional quad or buggy. In the late afternoon, camel ride at sunset. Dinner and overnight.

Day 9 — Merzouga / Todra Gorges / Dades / Ouarzazate - 372 km (B/L/D)

After sunrise, departure to Ouarzazate via Tinghir and its palm grove. Lunch in the gorges and walk through the impressive Todra Gorges, with cliffs reaching up to 300 meters. Continue along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, the Valley of Roses and Skoura Oasis. Dinner and overnight.

Day 10 — Ouarzazate / Ait Ben Haddou / Marrakech - 324 km (B/L/D)

Photo stop at Taourirt Kasbah then walking visit of Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site. This pre-Saharan earthen ksar illustrates traditional southern Moroccan architecture. Continue to Marrakech through the spectacular Tizi n’Tichka pass at 2,260 m altitude. Dinner and overnight.

Day 11 — Marrakech (B/L/D)

Historical visit of Marrakech: Majorelle Garden, Menara Gardens, ramparts, Place des Ferblantiers, Bahia Palace, UNESCO-listed medina, souks, Jemaa el-Fna Square and exterior view of Koutoubia. Lunch in the medina followed by dinner show. Overnight.

Day 12 — Marrakech / Essaouira - 190 km (B/L/D)

Departure to Essaouira, formerly Mogador. On the way, possible stop to see goats in argan trees and visit an argan oil cooperative. Guided visit of Essaouira: Skala, port, UNESCO-listed medina, souks, Consulates district, Mellah and Moulay Hassan Square. Sunset over the Atlantic. Dinner and overnight.

Day 13 — Essaouira / Agadir - 170 km (B/AI)

Departure to Agadir. Visit Agadir Oufella Kasbah for panoramic views over the Atlantic Ocean and the city. Panoramic tour along the marina and beach. Arrival at the accommodation around lunch time and free time at the seaside resort. All-inclusive accommodation.

Days 14 and 15 — Agadir (AI)

Free days on an all-inclusive basis. Enjoy the seaside resort, beach, hotel facilities or optional activities offered locally by the representative. All-inclusive accommodation.

Day 16 — Agadir / Casablanca / Montreal (B)

Breakfast and transfer to Agadir airport. Return flight to Montreal via Casablanca.
